Hi, as Oracle recently finally released their Beta provider for .NET core, now we can look into it. Cannot provide an estimate at the moment though, but will keep this thread updated on the progress.

Hi!
Has there been any updates or progress on this feature?
Running sqlwallet as a docker container would make things a lot easier for us :)

Sorry, I am confused. Are you asking about how to create a drop-down parameter, filled with data from field NUMBER from table MATTER?

Hey Gleb, sorry but I am not a smart as you so bear with me on this. I appreciate your time in helping me as I really love this product and want to understand it and get it working. I just need some clarification.

I guess what I am asking so I understand this is the following:

1. What do I put in the two parameter fields for values? numbers?
2. What should the actual SQL statement be? Should it be:
select NUMBERS as Text, NUMBERS as Value from MATTERS order by NUMBERS

If you can tell me what should be in the parameter fields and give me the actual SQL statement, I will understand how this works.

This is my SQL Query if it helps at all:

SELECT
m.Number AS matter,
mot.Timekeeper AS tkprnumber,
t.DisplayName AS tkprname,
mot.Percentage,
m.MattStatus,
m.DisplayName,
m.Client,
Client.DisplayName AS DisplayName1
FROM
Matter m
JOIN MattDate md ON md.MatterLkUp = m.MattIndex
JOIN MattOrgTkpr mot ON mot.MattDate = md.MattDateID
JOIN Timekeeper t ON mot.Timekeeper = t.TkprIndex
INNER JOIN Client ON m.Client = Client.ClientIndex
WHERE
md.NxEndDate >= GetDate()
ORDER BY
matter

Hi, for the dynamic dropdowns, the query should return Text and Value columns, i.e.

select NUMBERS as Text, NUMBERS as Value from MATTERS order by NUMBERS.

Hope it helps.

I cannot figure out how to setup report parameters. I even had one of my employees look at it who is a SQL expert and he was lost as well. We read the FAQ on it. I am trying to setup a drop down that reads from the table called "MATTERS" from the field called "NUMBERS". I want the drop down to display all the NUMBERS from the table MATTERS.

I love this product and am definitely going to purchase it but I need to get the parameters working before I do so. Can you help show me how to setup the parameters to make the drop down work? I greatly appreciate it.

Awesome product by the way! I love it!

"Run set of custom commands" for scheduled reports

Hi, thank you for your suggestion, we will add this.

In the meantime, here is the quick instruction how to save the report file in c:\backup folder:

1) When creating a schedule, under Action tab select "Run custom commands"
2) In the "Command line" field type powershell
3) In the "Command arguments" field, type c:\scripts\copy.ps1 c:\backup
4) Create file c:\scripts\copy.ps1 with the following content:

Copy-Item $args[1] -Destination $args[0] -Force -Recurse

5) Make sure that powershell script execution is enabled for x86. See this post for details: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4037939/powershell-says-execution-of-scripts-is-disabled-on-this-system

When the scheduler executes a custom command, it invokes the command line and passes the arguments. The last argument always will be the generated file name. Therefore within your script $args[1] will be the generated file name, and $args[0] will be "c:\backup".

You can add extra actions such as renaming the file within the script as you wish.

In order to test the scheduler without waiting for the scheduled time, go to http://yoursqlwallethost/hangfire/recurring, select the scheduled job and press "Trigger now" button. If you have the latest release 1.5.0, you will find the link to the jobs console in the Admin menu.

Hi,
could you please provide a FAQ-Entry about the feature "Ability to run set of custom commands and scripts, passing path to the generated report file as an argument"? What i want to do is saving results of scheduled reports for further processing, may be in a monitored local folder.

Best regards

As admin created a new user and then tried to edit users' password. There is the internal server error. If the admin of SQL Wallet can`t edit users` password is there should be a message about permission? Or it is a bug?
Please, look a picture below

Please try http://www.sqlwallet.com/media/1057/sqlwallet_setup-1.4.6.exe. I added the missing framework DLLs here. You might need to uninstall the previous version.

Let me know if it worked.

Hi Anne

If the error is still the same as in your initial post, please manually copy the file Microsoft.CSharp.dll (and any other DLLs you may get error messages in the log about) from C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319 into SQLwallet /refs folder.

Please let me know if it worked.

I will try to reproduce the issue on a clean machine.

So: SInce last I posted my question, I have (for totally different reasons) restalled my whole computer, and today I tried again. Here's what I did, and the result:

1) I started to install SQL wallet, it insisted on installing .NET framework 4.7.1 first, which failed, so I canceled the rest of the installation
2) I tried to install .NET framework manually, and got the response ".NET framework 4.7 or later is already installed on your computer"
3) Hence I tried again SQL wallet, when it (again) failed to install .NET framework, I pressed ""yes" to continue SQL wallet installation without it
4) It installed, I rebooted and tried to surfe to localhost:88 where I still get the HTTP error 500 problem.

I have checked that the service is started and that the port really is 88. Both are OK. The log file still says it cannot find the reference assembly '.NETFramework/v4.7.."

What do I do wrong?

Anne

Please try 1.4.5 from the download page.

To upgrade please perform uninstall of the previous version of SQLwallet and make sure there is no DLL files left in the SDLwallet root folder and /refs subfolder after uninstallation.
