Hi,

I have a query that returns date ordered by date - the returned table is correctly displayed.

However if I switch to Pivot / Chart view the dates get screwed up, with day of month being the primary key for ordering, so the graph x-axis has the following DD-MM-YYYY dates:

01/04/2017
01/05/2017
01/06/2017
02/04/2017
02/05/2017
02/06/2017
03/04/2017 .... and so on

But what should be displayed is:

01/04/2017
02/04/2017
03/04/2017 .... and so on

I suspect this might be a US / European date sorting issue - if I flip the date settings in config to MM-DD-YYYY the problem goes away.

Hi

I will take a look into this. Does this happen even if you set the sort order explicitly (by using sort arrow icons on the axis panel)?

Thanks for taking a look. Yes - I can confirm that even if I sort using the arrows in European date mode they are still ordered by the 2nd element (month rather than day of month).

Indeed, a natural sort was used by default. Fixed, and will be available in the next release. In the meantime you can set custom formatting yyyy-MM-dd in the Output Columns as a workaround.

Thanks very much.

Can I install the latest version over the the current version without loosing any settings, config and most importantly the output designs?

Also - is there a specific set of files I can back-up in order to completely retain all the above? I'm guessing it is the sqllite DB that stores the SQLWallet database but wanted to be 100% sure of this!

Thanks again!

Yes, it is safe to install over existing version. For peace of mind you need to backup the sqlwallet.s3db and appsettings.json prior to upgrade.

Update: This appears to be a Firefox only bug. It works fine in Chrome.

Install went OK - but the datepicker is now producing weird dates:

For example when selecting 19th June 2017 I get:
June/19/20172017

For UK configured dates I get:
19/June/20172017

This then fails SQLWallet's own date constraints when you click "Run".

If I manually type the date in it's OK.

Any ideas?

I cannot reproduce this.
Can you please send a screenshot and also what are your date regional settings on the client machine?

It appears to be Firefox only.... I'll try clearing my cache. There is no issue in Chrome.
