Hi,

Think I've found a chart bug.

If I specify a float value as having a screen format of "C0" in the Output Columns section of the Design GUI, it displays correctly (to the nearest dollar) in table form.

However when I try to produce a Line Chart of this, no values are populated.

I can correct the behaviour only by removing the C0 value so I'm pretty sure that's the problem. If I add it again the problem returns.

My guess is that C0 is forcing the float values to be viewed as (currency) string rather than numeric types and thus it is refusing to plot them?

Any ideas or workarounds?

I can probably format in the SQL as quick workaround for now.

UPDATE: Reading the .NET docs it looks like C0 will output the number as a string for sure. However I'd expect this not to be applied to the graphing widget (where the underlying values should be used) and only to the tabulated data. Is this possible to do? Perhaps you could have a Screen Format, Excel Format, and a new Chart Format in the Output Columns design widget?

Thanks,

Phil.

Fixed in 1.2.7. However applying output formatting in Pivot/Chart mode will require more efforts.
