Use of Parameter Values

Hi

Here is an example with IN syntax

SELECT * FROM my_table WHERE product in ($selectedProduct)

Note the brackets.

Behind the curtains, SQLwallet converts this construct into ($selectedproduct1,$selectedproduct2,....)

I did not test this with PostgreSQL enums though.

Hi

Yes, there is a way to inject the multiple-valued parameters as comma-separated values. Simply set Query type as "Stored procedure" rather than "Query".

(in fact, the "Stored procedure" mode was especially created to allow pass multi-select values as string parameters into stored procedures, as most of SQL dialects do not have support for array parameters)

Hi

I will take a look into this. Does this happen even if you set the sort order explicitly (by using sort arrow icons on the axis panel)?

Just to make it clear - you do not have to write a stored procedure, you can switch to "Stored Procedure" mode and still use your query as is. The only practical difference between the two modes is the way of injection of multi-valued parameters.

Hi

We are planning to release SQLwallet as a Docker container soon, although no clear ETA yet.

Indeed, a natural sort was used by default. Fixed, and will be available in the next release. In the meantime you can set custom formatting yyyy-MM-dd in the Output Columns as a workaround.

I did a research, unfortunately it appears some essential data connectors and other components used by SQLwallet will be available for .NET Core only by the end of this year of this year after Microsoft ships .NET Core 2.0.This makes the task of creating fully platform-independent version right now very complicated, so we'll have to wait until the cross-platform libraries are available.

Yes, it is safe to install over existing version. For peace of mind you need to backup the sqlwallet.s3db and appsettings.json prior to upgrade.

I cannot reproduce this.
Can you please send a screenshot and also what are your date regional settings on the client machine?

Also I would try to completely clear browser cache just in case.

Editing a View

The editable view should work fine. The purpose of the PK filed name is to uniquely identify each record, so you view should contain some unique column to be specified as PK in SQLwallet (does not have to be a real PK, unique is enough).

The error seems to be related to the PostrgreSQL syntax for escaping column names which is a double quote as opposed to square brackets in MS SQL.The fix should be quite straightforward, I will prepare a new build and let you know.

Fixed in 1.2.7. However applying output formatting in Pivot/Chart mode will require more efforts.

Try to add some dummy select after your delete.

For example

SELECT 'Deleted Successfully';

Hi Phil

HTTPS supported has been added in the latest release 1.3

In order to enable SQLwallet over HTTPS, add the following settings in appSettings.json under "SystemSettings" section and restart the service:

"SystemSettings": {

...

"CertificatePfxFile":"path-to-pfx-file",
"CertificatePassword":"password"

}
